For the carrie in me
New flat means no working sky tv... so I have been stuck watching dvd's... or maybe watching is not the word.. I just like to have the tv on for the company... and what better company that the girls from sex and the city.. call me a cliché but I will never get enough. Watching the early episodes convinced me even more that things were better before... so much that my crush on pointy pumps turned in to love.. that's right, for a while already I have been opting for the pointy shape and watching carrie stroll down the streets made me crave.. luckily I got a little flash back from shopping the other day, so I knew right away what had to be done.. the result: say hello to my new - lipstick red, 90's carrie pumps from zara.
My new wall
Some of you might remember me mentioning a little project that I have been working on in my new flat... in fact for a long time it literally took over my life as I decided I wanted to do it myself! So I did. Well I did get some help of the bf that I had flown over for a weekend and in the end I even had to turn to hired help, to make the finishing touches perfect.. but now it's done. I am quite happy... I finally have it.. my own brick wall...<3
first we bought slim bricks and adhesive and started placing the bricks on the wall...
with the gaps we had to improvise... and the whole process was quite fun....
I wanted an 'old-meets-modern feel', hence the spotlights from ikea...
next up was the mortar pointing... which turned out to be easier said than done! so after a failed attempt.. I gave up....
and hired help... it took a few days.. and the house was a horrible mess..
finally the finished wall! and it was all worth it... :)
excited to see the whole flat already? still working on it, but I promise to keep you updated here and on on twitter
loove you all, thank you for the sweet words and support.. <3

Hi my sweet readers! hope you all are having a nice weekend... I have been caught up with flat decoration again.. but I had these pictures from finland that I have been waiting to post.. the zara cape thing is something I got a while ago, I've have been wearing it all fall and will probably keep wearing throughout winter.. the genius fact that it's missing sleeves makes it perfect for layering either under or over jackets.. one of those high-street finds that upgrades everything in my winter wardrobe. The beat up hands covered with bandaids is a result of something I have been working on in the flat.. you'll see soon..
