Nicolas Ghesquière Leaves Balenciaga

Officially announced that Nicolas Ghesquière will leave Balenciaga in the end of November.
The reason isn't clearly mentioned, but the biggest question are "Who will be the next successor?" and "Where will Ghesquière's heading?" The answer is still blur as the reason he leaves the French fashion house.

Nicolas Ghesquière named as creative director of Balenciaga in 1997 when he was 26. He need a plenty time to get success with this label. His signature style is combination of futuristic and retro feels in the same time. He also well known as a fashion genius who combines sharp tailoring and techno-material. That's why in 2006, The New York Times call him "the most important designer of his generation". In 2001 he was honored with CFDA's International Award and French government gave a Chevalier of Arts and Letters.

Balenciaga founded in 1918 by Cristobal Balenciaga. In its prime era, the client include queen of Spain and Belgium and also Hollywood A-list persons. When Cristobal Balenciaga died in 1972, the fashion house was overcast until Nicolas Ghesquière named as creative director in 1997. In the hand of Ghesquière, Balenciaga has expanded the collection into menswear and accessories.

For commemorating a 15 years great job of Nicolas Ghesquière in Balenciaga, let me show the milestone of his design.
